FireKing - DS6431-2 - 20.6 Cubic Foot - 2-Hour Fire and Impact Rated Data Safes
FireKing Data Safes are designed to protect sensitive magnetic and digital storage media from heat, humidity, dust and magnetic fields.
The FireKing DS Series provides protection by incorporating layers of heat-absorbing material, fireproof insulating foam and fireproofing with a tough steel casing. The three-way boltwork ensures that doors remain shut if a building collapses during a fire or if a forced entry is attempted.
The FireKing DS Series carries a UL Class 125 2-Hour fire and impact rating. The UL Class 125 2-Hour rating means the internal temperature of the safe will not exceed 125-degrees F for at least 2 hours when external temperatures reach 1,700 degrees F. In addition, the relative humidity will not exceed 85 percent during that time.
This impact rated safe also ensures your sensitive magnetic and digital media remain safe in the event of a roof cave-in or floor collapse during a fire. The Underwriters Laboratories impact testing process calls for the safe to be heated to more than 1,625 degrees F for 45 minutes, then dropped 30 feet onto rubble. After that the safe is turned upside down and heated again to more than 1625 degrees F for 45 minutes.
The DS Series is available in 5 sizes and a wide range of interiors for storing magnetic and digital media.
